The Olea Europaea, or Olive, is an evergreen plant. This Mediterranean plant only blooms in the garden when winter temperatures are low and spring has plenty of sunshine. But you don't need flowers or olives to give this plant its charm! An olive tree brings a warm, Mediterranean atmosphere into your home. This plant is winter-hardy and adapted to our climate. It's perfect for use as a hedge and to create organic clouds in your garden, as it handles topiary beautifully.
This one also does very well in flower boxes or pots.
Dog Care
The olive tree can be placed both indoors and outdoors, but always ensure a bright to sunny spot! It's best to prune the plant annually to maintain its compact shape. During prolonged dry periods, water the olive tree thoroughly every three days (especially after planting). After a few years in the ground, you can reduce this amount.
In flower boxes, watering should be done more frequently and fertilise slightly every year during the growing season.
