Besides a moss wall or moss feature, you can also use it for a moss painting or moss panel. With a little creativity, you can use moss in many different ways and on many different surfaces, creating the most beautiful moss creations! Consider, for example, moss around a column in your home or office. But which types of moss are best for your moss wall?

First, consider whether you want a simple, single-colored moss wall or a vibrant moss wall featuring various types of moss. This may depend on your personal preference or the location in your home or office. For a moss wall, you can use various types of treated moss, such as reindeer moss, ball moss, or flat moss. Both reindeer moss and ball moss are the most common. For a vibrant moss wall, you can combine these types, as well as different colors. Make sure the moss you use is treated for indoor use.

Buy reindeer moss for your moss wall

Reindeer moss is ideal for creating a moss wall or stage. The moss is treated with a water-based paint and requires no maintenance, such as watering. So the moss isn't living, but feels and feels real and flexible. And that's how it looks! For a reindeer moss stage, you'll need approximately 4 to 8 kg per square meter, depending on how picky you are about the moss pieces you use. In our webshop, you can buy reindeer moss in several colors, including dark green, spring green, lime green, and forest green. Not sure about the color? Order small moss samples first!

Buy ball moss for your moss wall

Ball moss is also ideal for creating a moss wall or cushion moss. It's also called cushion moss or ball moss. Our ball moss is treated with a mixture of glycerin and water, among other things. This ensures the moss stays beautiful for a very long time! Ball moss is only suitable for indoor use and requires no maintenance, such as watering. For a ball moss wall, you'll need approximately 5 boxes per square meter. You can buy ball moss in various colors in our webshop. It also makes a lovely combination with reindeer moss in a moss wall!

Make your own moss wall

Did you know that making your own moss wall can be quite easy? You just need the right materials, a guide, and above all, some patience! For your moss wall, you can use processed reindeer moss, ball moss, or a combination of the two. You can buy prepared and dried moss from us for this purpose. See below for the simplified step-by-step guide to making your own moss wall.

  1. First, gather your supplies. Plan on approximately 4-8 kilograms of reindeer moss per square meter, or 5 crates of ball moss per square meter. A combination is also possible, of course. You'll also need glue, which you can use white wood glue for.
  2. Apply a layer of adhesive to the desired hard surface. Start in a corner and apply the adhesive to a small area first. If you're building the moss wall on a separate sheet, lay it horizontally.
  3. Tear or cut the moss to the desired thickness.
  4. Apply the moss tufts from the corner where you started and work outward. If you're using a loose sheet, ideally place another weighted sheet on top of the plastered sheet to press the moss down and let it dry overnight.
