To water
The Zamioculcas is a succulent plant and can store water in its rhizomes, stems, and leaves. This means it requires very little water! Give the plant a little water once a week in spring, summer, and fall. Allow the soil to dry completely between waterings. During the winter, the plant needs even less water; about once every two to three weeks is sufficient. Be careful not to overwater this plant, as it doesn't like it. Check regularly that the soil isn't too moist; you can do this with a moisture meter or by dipping your finger into the potting mix. If the soil is still very wet after a week, give the plant less water.
Humidity
There's no need to spray your plant. If the leaves get dusty or dirty, you can give it a misting.
Extra plant food
This plant grows best if you feed it regularly. Give it some extra plant food once a month from April to September. Don't overfeed Zamioculcas, as this can be harmful. Use the recommended dosage on the plant food package. Additional plant food isn't necessary in autumn and winter.

If your Zamioculcas receives less light, it will grow more slowly. This can cause the plant to grow extremely quickly and become overweight in a sunny spot. If you notice your plant growing very quickly, move it a little further from the window or in a spot with a bit more shade. Generally, 2-3 meters from a west- or east-facing window or 3-4 meters from a south-facing window is a good spot. A north-facing window is also suitable, but in that case, place the plant directly in front of the window.
