Elephant foot in nature
In its natural habitat, the elephant's foot grows into a tree of up to 6 to 10 meters tall. As a houseplant, it doesn't grow much taller than 2 meters. It also has a bottle-shaped, thickened trunk, topped with the familiar crown of ribbon-shaped leaves. Older specimens usually branch several times, developing a rounded crown of leaves.
