Croton Care.
When caring for your Croton, it's important to water it sufficiently. Never let the soil dry out completely, as this can kill the plant. Soaking wet is also not good, as it will cause root rot. Check the soil moisture at least once a week. If the soil is dry, give it some water. Watering twice a week is recommended, especially in summer. Crotons appreciate some extra nutrition in summer. They don't need extra feeding in winter.

The Croton loves plenty of light. It thrives in direct sunlight for at least a few hours a day. During the hottest part of the day, it's best if the plant isn't in continuous direct sunlight, especially in summer. Don't place the plant near a heater, as this can cause the leaves to brown. The more light the plant receives, the lighter the leaves will become. If your croton is quite dark and you'd like more color, move it closer to a window for a while. Generally, 3 meters from a south-facing window and 1 meter from a west-, north-, or east-facing window is a good spot for your plant.
