When and how do I plant the flower bulbs?

Autumn is the perfect time to plant spring-flowering bulbs like daffodils, tulips, and alliums. They need the cold of winter to shine in early spring. Do this before the first frost! Make sure all weeds are removed before planting. Then, dig a hole for a group of bulbs or several individual holes for individual bulbs. The size of the bulb determines how deep you should plant it. Large bulbs (5 cm and larger) should be planted about 15 centimeters deep, and small bulbs (2,5-5 cm) about 7 to 10 centimeters deep. Then, gently place the bulbs in the soil with the point facing up. Don't press too hard, as this can damage them. Large bulbs need a spacing of about 7 to 20 cm, and small bulbs about 3 to 7 cm. Then, cover the bulbs with soil and water them lightly.

Caring for bulbs.

Water the bulbs regularly, but not too much. Overwatering will cause them to rot. If the soil feels slightly moist, it's fine. Bulbs in a pot don't need extra feeding, but you could give them some extra food if they're in the garden.
